Arimidex, Chemical name: Anastrozole, Product form: 1 mg tablet, 50 tablets per bag
Description
Arimidex is used more often with other steroids to reduce estrogen in the body, even though testosterone is slightly increased in the body. Many anabolic steroids convert or aromatize estrogen, which causes unwanted side effects such as bloating and acne in the body. Arimidex is one of the best compounds to reduce the aromatizing effect of steroids.
Arimidex® (generic name anastrozole) is a new drug developed for the treatment of advanced stage breast cancer. Manufactured by Zenica Pharmaceuticals and approved for use in the United States at the end of December 1995. In particular, Arimidex, a new generation of third-generation selective aromatase inhibitors, acts by blocking the aromatase enzyme. then blocks estrogen production. Since many forms of breast cancer cells are stimulated by estrogen, it is hoped that the progression of such a disease can be stopped by reducing the amount of estrogen in the body. This drug is the mainstay behind Nolvadex, but this drug does not produce estrogen, it blocks the action. The effects of Arimidex can be quite dramatic to say the least. A tablets daily dose (1 mg) may produce an estrogen suppression greater than 80% in treated patients. This drug should be used by postmenopausal women (clinically) with a strong effect at the hormone level, only advanced after treatment with Nolvadex (tamoxifen citrate). Side effects such as hot flashes and hair thinning may be present and are much more severe in pre-menopausal patients.
