Description
SUSTA 300 (Testosterone Combination Injection 300 mg/ml) is Clear, Colourless, oily liquid for Intramuscular use. Each ml contains Testosterone Acetate 50, Testosterone Propionate 50 mg, Testosterone Isocaproate 50 mg, Testosterone Phenylpropionate 50 mg and Testosterone Decanoate 100 mg.
Pharmacodynamics
The esterification of testosterone at the 17β-hydroxy position makes the molecule hydrophobic and extends its duration of action. The slow release of testosterone esters from an oily depot in the muscle accounts for its extended duration of action. The longer the side chain, the greater the hydrophobicity of the ester, and the longer the duration of action.
